Homes needed for.........

Yesterday, we completely cleared Art Space Gallery, ready to start cleaning and painting so that the premises are spic and span for the forthcoming season.  Prints, cards, paintings on the wall and paintings in the storeroom all had to be removed.  I have paintings 'stashed' at my Mum's and pieces of art lining the hallway of my house - many of which need good homes so that I can continue to paint more, for the ideas that keep on coming!  Some are quite large and, as a result, don't get exhibited that often - they just don't get seen.  Others have been admired but are still here and some are destined to be 'reworked', which is always fun, though galling when someone enquires about an artwork after the process, when the original original no longer exists, if you get my drift?

The first in need of a home is 'Light Kissed Red' pictured above, top left.  Painted in acrylic and oil on deep edge canvas, dimensions are 90 x 90 cm.

The next is 'Light Canyon', acrylic & oil on deep edge canvas, framed dimensions are 85 x 34 cm.  Both will be added to the 'Paintings for Sale' page soon.  Click to enlarge and get in touch via email should more info be required.

Collage two paintings 30 x60 cm

In this detail, the anaglypta, pink florist's cellophane and paint on canvas can be seen. Reddish/brown transparent glazing in the centre section and swirls of aqua opaque impasto on the right. This includes a piece of anaglypta from Carol Parsons painting class back in March, 2009? This particular piece of wallpaper has already been used to 'print paint to canvas'. Victoria Hilliard produces lovely ceramic pictures inspired by nature, including the portrayal of moths and butterflies. Would I have produced this collage if Tori were not a member of Art Space Gallery? Maybe not. Everything is 'grist to the visual mill' as far as artists are concerned. 'Floral - Pedestal' this painting just evolved. Fun, fun and more fun! 'Floral - Feel Amazing'. I love this artwork! My daughter's boyfriend bought her flowers, including old fashioned roses, which provided the inspiration for the flowers at the top of the painting and the cellophane wrapper is
