New small paintings for May

Here are some small paintings for May, the first two (one of which has sold) have already been hung in the window at Art Space Gallery, St Ives and, once back from the framer's the rest will probably be destined for the browsers at St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery. Three small paintings for early July

Humid, sometimes sunny, very windy and often wet!  Come on July, we're hoping for better and it's time to settle down. Today, there are three paintings to show you and they're as different in atmosphere and colour as the above mentioned weather. Back from the Framer's

So pleased to have these paintings back, looking good in their bespoke white painted wood frames.  Most of them started life in November, early December and were completed in January, 2020. They're probably destined for exhibition at Art Space Gallery, St Ives   (link takes users to the gallery blog page) in the next week or so. New framed paintings + More...

Paintings (below) collected from the framers on Friday afternoon, along with 19 mounted prints and 2 mounted originals, all labelled, wrapped where needed and priced, ready for delivery to  Art Space Gallery, St Ives and St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery. Now mid way through the 2019 St Ives September Festival , on Saturday 21st September St Ives Society of Artists held its annual 'Square Deal' fundraiser offering members of the public an opportunity to buy a piece of original art for £50! I was delighted (and relieved) to be present, when a buyer chose my submission 'Beach, Tranquil Sea' below. 'Beach Tranquil Sea' Oil on canvas, 25.4 x 205.4 cm/10 x 10 inches Prior to visiting Stisa, there was just time to pop into Porthmeor Studios, Back Road West, St Ives to view 'Spot the Artist' 2019. Organised by St Ives Rotary the show included around 400 anonymous postcard sized artworks donated by over 300...

At last a blog post to show some of the most recent of my small, square paintings on board, after a busy summer and early autumn here in St Ives.  Can it really be November already?
