This painting is currently exhibited at St Ives Society of Artists Festival Exhibition (until 14 October). I was tempted to hold onto it because I like it so much - don't know why, maybe because of the darkness and contrast or because it captures what it feels like to stand on Porthmeor Beach when everything is moving: the sea is rushing in and the clouds flying low?
