Beautiful Bath

Just over a week ago I travelled up to Bath for the preview of Bath Society of Artists Annual Open Exhibition.  Decades have passed since I last visited and it was thrilling to be back in this beautiful city, albeit for a very short time!   'Pulteney Bridge' And the weather was gorgeous - no need to worry about taking a brolly - or even a cardigan for that matter! The preview was extremely busy and the diversity of styles and subject matter of the 300 artworks displayed made for a really interesting evening.  Sadly no pics as photography is not permitted.  Click  here  for more information about the current exhibition. I stayed at Travelodge Bath Waterside  which is situated at Widcombe Basin alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal and just minutes on foot from Bath Railway Station and the Town Centre.  There was no air conditioning so my room was extremely hot, although it was possible to open the large picture window a few inches.  The staff
