Beautiful morning in St Ives

Had to drive down to Art Space to collect a couple of paintings, camera etc 'before the rush' - luckily, the battery was still charged and I was able to capture these images of a beautiful Bank Holiday Monday morning at around 9 am.    The sun was hot and everything looked wonderful.

Even the seagull obliged, staying put until the photo was framed to my liking!  And some early paddlers are silhouetted below.

The sun shone all day and this evening continues bright, clear and fresh. x  Click to enlarge.

  8. Thanks everyone.

Mornings and evenings are the best part of the day, in this part of the world and at this time of year; they're quieter and more serene. x

  14. Lovely photos :) I went down to the shop early on Monday - and because it was so lovely I decided to join the throng and wander along the Wharf - got a coffee in Moomaid and sat on the harbour wall for a bit. Then up round the Island, and back down the Digey to wander down Fore Street with the crowds. It was a splendid day!

The ever popular Square Deal Show at St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery is another unmissable September Festival event.  I have my blank canvas, it's unwrapped and a start on it will be made very soon - just need to think about what to paint!
