My first Etsy Sale!!!

Having joined Etsy in June 2009, I was beginning to despair of ever making a sale, when all around me others were selling with gusto, it seemed!!

Anyway, phew, it's happened at last and a parcel is on its way to my first ever Etsy buyer as I write. More prints have been added to the shop - from the golden oldie range, including a very twee kitty - sorry, but I've always been pleased with the accompanying bluebells, red campions and buttercups! Plus, there's a special offer on at the moment - buy one print and get one free! The only stipulation is that both prints be delivered to the same address. Orders can be for 2 of the same image or 2 different images. Please have a look and tell me what you think. Any feedback or advice is welcomed. Bye for now. Lesley x

I like Etsy very much, it sometimes takes a while for things to sell but it is usually worth the wait.

  12. Congrats on your Etsy sale Lesley. I think it is quite hard to get going on Etsy to start with. I read the forums sometimes and it is a common problem until suddenly you are there. The thought of someone wanting to buy your work is a great feeling. Here's hoping for lots more sales to come your way.

New paintings for August and some from July..

Summer, such a hectic, busy time here in St Ives, no complaints though, there's been enough sunshine to keep everyone happy!
On the personal news front: All six of the artworks painted with submission to the annual ING Discerning Eye Exhibition in mind are now at the framer's.  There's still time to enter, click the link to find out more.

The Rotary Club of St Ives popular fundraising exhibition of donated postcard sized art is a high point of the annual St Ives September Festival and my contribution is already in the hands of the organisers.

The ever popular Square Deal Show at St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery is another unmissable September Festival event.  I have my blank canvas, it's unwrapped and a start on it will be made very soon - just need to think about what to paint!
