Here are the two paintings submitted to
and I'm very pleased that the first (see below) has been accepted and now hangs, ready for the preview on Friday and exhibition opening on Saturday 24th March. in the Victoria Gallery, Bath. Click the link above to find out more. Selection was postponed until Monday 19th from the previous Saturday due to heavy snow - a brief return of the 'Beast from the East' and the delay means I don't have an invitation image to display on this post.
'Storm Eleanor Aftermath' oil on board, 13.5 x 13.5 cm. SOLD
Although disappointed that 'White Surf and Tide Line' wasn't accepted (see below). Chosen because of the contrast of colour, atmosphere and conditions that occur, often on the same beach as those captured in 'Storm Eleanor Aftermath' - literally in moments in this part of the world - I can well understand the difficulties faced by selectors when faced with such a large and varied submission.
As well as a large body of work by invited artist Katherine Jones the show comprises a substantial 389 artworks.
