Original Seascapes in oil

Looks like more rain for all from tomorrow, though we have been fortunate to escape the worst in this part of Cornwall over the past few days, with some decent periods of sun - Monday being a particularly fine day.  In the meantime, while the wait for some settled Summer weather continues, here are some more paintings to view......

'North Coast Cornwall' SOLD below, measures 27.6 x 19.7 x 1.6 inches in a solid white wood frame.  Paint has been applied with knife and brush, with heavy impasto in some parts.  Currently exhibited at St Ives Society of Artists Norway Gallery.

'Porthmeor, Seaweed & Surf' oil on canvas.  SOLD

'Wild Coast' SOLD is rendered in oil on board and is now framed ready for the forthcoming show 'Wish You Were Here' which opens at St Ives Society of Artists Norway Gallery on 5 July, 2012.

  5. I love your seascapes - and good luck with the show. I still have a card you sent me with one of your seascapes on it, and I keep it by my computer so that when I feel really stressed I can just look at this lovely sea!

Summer, such a hectic, busy time here in St Ives, no complaints though, there's been enough sunshine to keep everyone happy!
On the personal news front: All six of the artworks painted with submission to the annual ING Discerning Eye Exhibition in mind are now at the framer's.  There's still time to enter, click the link to find out more.

The Rotary Club of St Ives popular fundraising exhibition of donated postcard sized art is a high point of the annual St Ives September Festival and my contribution is already in the hands of the organisers.

The ever popular Square Deal Show at St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery is another unmissable September Festival event.  I have my blank canvas, it's unwrapped and a start on it will be made very soon - just need to think about what to paint!
