Bath Society Open Exhibition

My goodness, time flies and the Bath Society of Artists 107th Annual Open Exhibition is already underway.  Click here  to visit the website and for information re opening times and location.  Admission is free and the show continues until 19 May 2012.


I'm delighted to have had two paintings accepted this year:

'Jug of Anemones', oil on canvas


and 'Waves Piling Up', oil on board.  SOLD
Again fingers are crossed that they'll sell.  Visit if you're able, as there are hundreds of diverse artworks displayed, with something for every taste.

  8. Hope you enjoyed a lovely Easter. Lovely paintings, good luck with the show.
    We have had some really high tides plus showers and stormy winds, my flowers have had a real bashing! I must get some more drawings before they are over. I expect you have similar high tides and huge breakers with the spring tides, good surfing ?

  9. Hi Milly, thanks very much. Yes, definitely good conditions for the for the surfers. Although there's a cold wind blowing from the North, we've enjoyed a lot of sunshine today - and yesterday. Monday was a different matter, with continuous rain. x

New paintings for August and some from July..

Summer, such a hectic, busy time here in St Ives, no complaints though, there's been enough sunshine to keep everyone happy!
On the personal news front: All six of the artworks painted with submission to the annual ING Discerning Eye Exhibition in mind are now at the framer's.  There's still time to enter, click the link to find out more.

The Rotary Club of St Ives popular fundraising exhibition of donated postcard sized art is a high point of the annual St Ives September Festival and my contribution is already in the hands of the organisers.

The ever popular Square Deal Show at St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery is another unmissable September Festival event.  I have my blank canvas, it's unwrapped and a start on it will be made very soon - just need to think about what to paint!
