Gwithian Rock Pools

These rock pool photos were taken on a perfect evening a couple of weeks ago, at Gwithian, on the other side of St Ives Bay. There have been so many beautiful evenings since - including this one. Although setting, the sun is still bright in the sky (at almost 9pm), the smell of honeysuckle is wafting in through open windows and it's so quiet, with just the occasional bird sound to be heard.

The rock pool pics are for you, Libby! Hope that you like them?!

  16. Hi Lesley, Great Rockpool photos. When we were in St Ives the other week, we read (in the Joules catalogue!!!) that if you sit with your feet in a rock pool - very still - the shrimps will come and nibble at your feet. So we tried it - and they did!!! It was so lovely to meet you - see you next year. xx
