'Mixed May' is as good a way of describing this month so far, as the weather changes radically from day to day - sometimes hour by hour.  May is such a lovely month though, trees and flowers are bursting into life, a profusion of fresh colours and new greens - especially when the sun shines! All of the framed square paintings shown below can be found at Art Space Gallery, St Ives with the exception of 'The Beach in May' which will arrive in the next few days.   The rectangular paintings are awaiting a trip to the framers, to be mounted prior to delivery to the browsers at St Ives Society of Artists Mariners Gallery. It's April! New work to start the month and I think I've managed to find a fairly straightforward way to straighten, crop, adjust colour and exposure and resize artwork images, using a combination of Google Photos and PicMonkey.  For the first time since acquiring the new desktop computer, posting to my blog has been stress-free. There's been a bit of a lull when posting to the blog, because of having to adapt to a new desktop computer and finding ways to edit photos without Microsoft Picture Manager and Picasa.  I don't mind admitting it's been a real nightmare!  Sure to get easier (hopefully) and here are some new paintings for March.  The first two artworks below will soon be exhibited  at Art Space Gallery, St Ives. New work for a new year and we've enjoyed some sunny days here in St Ives.  January has been a fine month so far. PAINTINGS The first three are already framed and displayed at Art Space Gallery, St Ives   although the Gallery will be closed from 4pm this Sunday 22nd January (for it's annual spring clean and repainting) until Wednesday 1st February. Below, the painting (and the next) were started early in December, 2016 and completed in the early days of 2017.
