'Two dozen tips for painterly happiness and success' by Robert Genn. 1.  Have your paint squeezed out before your mind is in gear 2.  Accept a lifetime of perpetual studenthood 3.  Learn to love the masters and to know who they truly are but don't fall in love with the media that presents them 4.  Appreciate the value of silence and private thought.  Value work above words 5.  Alternate your work zones with some form of physical

'It's got to be Porthmeor' and other small paintings in oil.

Well on into January and here's my first paintings post of 2015, doesn't time fly! This part of Cornwall was gloriously sunny today and looking beautiful, with barely a cloud in the sky.  I had to pop over to Penzance this afternoon; the hills and moors were sharply etched against the solid blue of the sky, Mounts Bay was gleaming and St Michael's Mount looking particularly imposing.  The whole journey was a continuous visual treat.  Find the square paintings at Art Space Gallery when open again after refurbishment (no later than 29 January 2015).  The rectangular artworks are awaiting mounting and or framing.......
