What frames to choose?

Well, as you can see a decision has been made! Sand Runnels Grey & Blue will be framed together Probably without a mount, set against a painted backboard, with a solid white wood moulding? Same with 'Dusk' and 'Dusk Green' So pleased with 'Low Tide, Porthmeor 2013'.  Love this new 'distressed' frame bought locally.  The faded green complements the painting despite differences in palette..... Porthmeor - try facing out to sea, look left and then slowly to the right and there's a good chance you will see bright sunlit rocks and sea, blue sky, dark grey, stormy clouds and rain squalls approaching.  All in one glance!   SOLD   A foam lightened sea green, the way painted windows and doors look when eroded by salt, sand and wind. November Colours 2012

'November Colours 2012' A diptych, painted in acrylic and oil (81 x 50.5 x 2 cm) on narrow canvases, held together with connecting plates, so the artwork can be hung as shown or separated and hung with a larger gap between. That's not a fire on the bottom right by the way - just to preempt any assumptions!  The colours of November provided the starting point and inspiration, the landscape is a secondary development.  November can be dark, dreary and miserable, but there are moments and even some days when the colours are so strong and bright and wonderful This will be submitted to Penwith Society of Arts Winter Exhibition so please keep fingers crossed for me.  If not included in the above, 'November Colours' will be displayed in the Christmas Exhibition at Art Space Gallery . I was pleased to find today (13 Dec) that the painting has been accepted and will be included in the  Penwith Society of Arts Winter Exhibition 2012-13 , which opens on Sa
