A big painting on canvas

Something quite different for me, a large seascape in oil on deep edge canvas. Porthmeor is the name of the beach, Gowna and Carn Everis are the rocks in the sea at either end. 'Porthmeor, Gowna and Carn Everis' 110 x 75 cm. SOLD Detail Reference - a now very smudgy drawing made at the beach two or three years ago and assorted photos taken during frequent walks across Porthmeor.  I realised the only way to tackle a support of this size was to hang it on the wall and succeeded eventually after a few attempts.  There are some unsightly holes to go with the paint marks unfortunately. Knives, brushes, paint and rags. A close up of the palette - love those colours. Nearly there..... It took a good few days to get right. Click to enlarge.  Copyright Lesley Ninnes St Ives, Cornwall.
