Magpie Moth

Found this pretty creature on the back path this evening.  Fortunately it fluttered off and came to rest in a safer place in the hedge.  Found (thanks to Google search) that it's a Magpie Moth, click here to find out more. Click to enlarge.

The preview was extremely busy and the diversity of styles and subject matter of the 300 artworks displayed made for a really interesting evening.  Sadly no pics as photography is not permitted.  Click  here  for more information about the current exhibition. I stayed at Travelodge Bath Waterside  which is situated at Widcombe Basin alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal and just minutes on foot from Bath Railway Station and the Town Centre.  There was no air conditioning so my room was extremely hot, although it was possible to open the large picture window a few inches.  The staff
