November Colours 2012

'November Colours 2012' A diptych, painted in acrylic and oil (81 x 50.5 x 2 cm) on narrow canvases, held together with connecting plates, so the artwork can be hung as shown or separated and hung with a larger gap between. That's not a fire on the bottom right by the way - just to preempt any assumptions!  The colours of November provided the starting point and inspiration, the landscape is a secondary development.  November can be dark, dreary and miserable, but there are moments and even some days when the colours are so strong and bright and wonderful This will be submitted to Penwith Society of Arts Winter Exhibition so please keep fingers crossed for me.  If not included in the above, 'November Colours' will be displayed in the Christmas Exhibition at Art Space Gallery .
