Small oil paintings and Bath Society Open.....

Yes, that's right Bath Society of Artists 113th Annual Open Exhibition is looming. Submission day is this Saturday, 17th March, 2018!! Now is your chance if you happen to be an artist with ambitions to see your unique creation(s) hanging on the walls of the beautiful  Victoria Art Gallery Just visit the Society website (link above) download the entry forms and take your work along on the day between 10.30 am - 4.00 pm.  I'm submitting two works (no images online yet) so please keep fingers crossed for Yours Truly! Bath Society of Artists 111th Annual Exhibition Opening

Tomorrow evening, Friday 22nd April, promises to be a lively, colourful affair when Bath Society of Artists 111th Annual Exhibition is opened by Kaffe Fasset at the Victoria Art Gallery , by Pulteney Bridge, in the centre of the golden city.  The show will open to the public on Saturday 23rd April and runs until 4th June, 2016.  Hours of opening are 10.30 am - 5.00 pm daily.  Well worth a visit if you're in the area - with many exciting and diverse works on display by well known, emerging and young artists, everyone comes across something to love. Bath Society of Artists 109th Exhibition

I'm delighted that my painting 'The Cappuccino Cup' has been included in Bath Society 's 109th Annual exhibition, which opened on Friday 4 April, 2014, at Victoria Art Gallery. Beautiful Bath

Just over a week ago I travelled up to Bath for the preview of Bath Society of Artists Annual Open Exhibition.  Decades have passed since I last visited and it was thrilling to be back in this beautiful city, albeit for a very short time!   'Pulteney Bridge' And the weather was gorgeous - no need to worry about taking a brolly - or even a cardigan for that matter! The preview was extremely busy and the diversity of styles and subject matter of the 300 artworks displayed made for a really interesting evening.  Sadly no pics as photography is not permitted.  Click  here  for more information about the current exhibition. I stayed at Travelodge Bath Waterside  which is situated at Widcombe Basin alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal and just minutes on foot from Bath Railway Station and the Town Centre.  There was no air conditioning so my room was extremely hot, although it was possible to open the large picture window a few inches.  The staff
