Off to the framers today with 'Bright Day, Wild Sea' SOLD below, which is painted on primed board in oil, worked with roller, knife and brush. The strong sky colour has come from the excess paint mixed to 'rejuvenate' a tired abstract! Painting measures 46 x 30.5 cm.
'Brisk Breeze at the Beach' is smaller, 19 x 15 cm (though looks the same size here). It's another reworked piece - surprise, surprise, I'm a big fan of reuse - features heavy impasto and is rendered on primed and under-painted MDF. SOLD

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of reworks too. I just slapped on a big layer of Kils over a huge canvas (with a proper painter's house brush) and now can start fresh
